Meet the 2025 Country Meadows Board Nominees!

JOHN WAGNER

Hello, my name is John Wagner, and I live at number 96 in Country Meadows. I’ve been part of this community since 2022. I’ve decided to put my name in the hat to serve on the board for Country Meadows. While I may not have lived here long, I’ve gotten to know several of you and have learned that there are many great ideas for improving the park—ideas that some residents may not know how to bring forward. I hope to be that avenue for you.

Here’s a little history about me:

I was born and raised in Michigan (way up north). I enlisted in the Air Force right out of high school and was sent to Vietnam in 1970. After returning to the States, I was stationed at Hill A.F.B., which is how I came to live in Utah. I spent 13 years in the Air Force, then transitioned to civilian life, working at Hercules Aerospace (now Northrop Grumman). I also joined the Utah Army National Guard and served enough years to retire. After retiring from the aerospace field, I decided to make Utah my permanent home—and here I am. I’m a member of the American Legion and the VFW, where I served several years in officer positions, including a 3-year term as Post Commander.

I truly enjoy living here at Country Meadows and always strive to help make it a better place. A couple of issues I’d like to bring to the board’s attention include creating play areas for younger children (to keep them out of the streets and safe) and addressing speed limit concerns within the park. I’d also love to hear directly from residents, so I’d suggest placing an “Idea Box” near the office where neighbors can submit thoughts or suggestions for the board to review.

JAN BAIN

Hi, I’m Jan Bain, and I’m running for the Country Meadows Community Board this year.

Why am I running?

  1. First and foremost, I’m a proud mother of three wonderful adult children, a grandmother to seven amazing grandchildren, and a brand-new great-grandmother. Family is at the heart of everything I do.

  2. I truly love this community and want to help keep it one of the most desirable places to live in the Roy/South Ogden area.

  3. I bring experience—having served on community boards in the past, including organizing large annual gatherings and parades with over 130 floats.

  4. I also have a background in manufactured housing and mobile home communities, from building parks to selling homes.

  5. My personal and professional life has included running construction companies and working in the financial sector, where I held a security clearance.

I believe in keeping our community running smoothly, beautifully, and respectfully—so we can all continue enjoying our homes and neighborhood together. I’m a great listener and always open to your ideas and feedback.

I would truly appreciate your vote between May 19–27, 2025.

Let’s work together to keep Country Meadows a place we’re all proud to call home.
